Before choosing a cable type, we can tell you more about the meaning of the abbreviation H05VV-F: This abbreviation is a so called type code consisting of letters and numbers. Each part of the type code contains information about structure and use of the hose line. The letter “H”, for instance, specifies that it is a harmonised line. “05” refers to the nominal voltage, specified in volts. In case of H05VV-F, this nominal voltage is 300/500V. The first letter “V” tells you that the core insulation is made from PVC. The second “V” specifies the outer sheath is also made from PVC. The letter “F” indicates the conductor type. In our case, it is a fine-stranded, flexible conductor.
