Characteristics and routing of theTrommelflex® PUR-HF line
Cables of the type Trommelflex® PUR-HF are reeling connection and control cables with fine-stranded cores and an insulation made from polyester. The halogen-free cable is UV-resistant and flame-retardant according to VDE 0482-332-1-2. The Trommelflex cable’s PUR sheath in the sheath colour black is also oil-resistant. Thanks to its good UV- and moisture-resistance, the Trommelflex® PUR-HF cable is suitable for indoor and outdoor use as well as application in water (no drinking water). More specifically, the cable can be routed in dry, moist and even wet rooms. In case of constant use in water, the maximum immersion depth is 50m. Areas of use for the Trommelflex® PUR-HF cables
Trommelflex® PUR-HF cables are utilised as reeling connection and control cables in lifting gear, conveyor systems and transport systems. The flexible cables have been designed for use under high to exceptional mechanical stress, so they are also suitable for use in heavy-duty devices such as reeling drums, moving motors and agricultural machinery. The cables of the type Trommelflex® PUR-HF belong to the group of crane cables, which is why they are very often requested as energy distribution cables for cranes in ports. The cables have been designed for a travel speed of 180m/min.
