Overview of PRYSMIAN Festoonflex® C-PUR HF

Festoonflex® C-PUR HF is a shielded energy and control cable, enabling flexible use thanks to its small bending radius and weather-resistant finish. Among other things, the cables are utilised as round cables on piped wagons, conveying machines and drag chains.

Festoonflex® C-PUR HF: Overview of characteristics

Festoonflex cables impress as shielded energy and control cables because of their versatile use options, including on cranes, conveyor systems and lifts.
The round cables withstand different kinds of stress thanks to the following characteristics. The Festoonflex® C-PUR HF cables are:
• halogen-free;
• silicone-free;
• UV-resistant;
• flame-retardant according to VDE 0482-332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2; and
• oil-resistant.
• Can be routed in dry, moist and wet rooms.
• Suitable for use in water up to an immersion depth of 50m.

Specifications and structure of the Festoonflex® C-PUR HF control cable

The Festoonflex® C-PUR HF meets conductor class 5, and its fine-stranded cores makes it particularly flexible. The conductor material consists of a bare Cu strand with a core insulation made from polyester and an internal and intermediate sheath made from polyurethane. The shield consists of a tinned Cu mesh. The support structure of the Festoonflex C-PUR HF is textile. The core identification with more than 5 cores must be specified with gn-ge + digits for the colour VDE 0293. Festoonflex® C-PUR HF trailing cables are available in sheath colour black, but other sheath colours can be offered on request.

Areas of use and routing of Festoonflex® C-PUR HF cables

Festoonflex® C-PUR HF cables are utilised as shielded energy and control cables in any environment with very high mechanical stress. Thanks to their small bending radius, the cables are particularly suited for use on piped wagons, drag chains, conveying machines and moving parts of machine tools. As a rule, Festoonflex® C-PUR HF cables can be applied as round cables wherever there is frequent bending under production conditions. The cables have been designed for a travel speed of 210m/min.
Festoonflex® C-PUR HF cables excel in UV- and water-resistance. The cable can be routed in dry, moist and wet rooms and is suitable for constant use in water (no drinking water) up to an immersion depth of 50m. Routing outdoors is easily possible because the cables are UV-resistant to eliminate the need for UV protection.
