        What does the cable designation NSSHOEU stand for?

        The cable designation of the NSSHOEU identifies the design and material of the individual parts of the cable. The ‘N’ indicates that it is a standardised cable in accordance with the national VDE standard. The ‘SSH’ part indicates that it is a connection cable for heavy mechanical loads. The ‘OE’ stands for ‘oil-resistant’ and the ‘U’ for the flame-retardant nature of the cable.

        Product properties of the rubber insulated cable NSSHOEU

        NSSHOEU cables fulfil the VDE 0250 T. 812 standard and are available in different versions.

        With a fine-wire construction, these rubber insulated cables offer a high degree of flexibility for a wide range of applications. The core insulation made of a special rubber compound of type 3GI3 and the outer sheath made of a rubber compound of type 5GM5 make them flame-retardant, UV-resistant and oil-resistant in accordance with EN 60811-404. The maximum conductor temperature is 90 degrees Celsius, which enables a higher current-carrying capacity.

        Thanks to their excellent properties, NSSHOEU cables are also ideal for outdoor use. The eye-catching yellow sheath colour makes it easy to identify when laying outdoors or in mining.

        The NSSHOEU is suitable for use at temperatures from -25 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius in motion and even for permanently installed applications at temperatures from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Both the NSSHOEU-O and the NSSHOEU-J are available in various dimensions with a rated voltage Uo of 0.6 kV and a rated voltage U of 1 kV.

        Applications of NSSHOEU cables in industry

        NSSHÖU cables are specially designed for demanding industrial applications where heavy equipment is exposed to high mechanical stress. They are primarily used in mining, open-cast mining, on construction sites and in various industrial environments.

        The heavy-duty rubber insulated cables offer a long service life and flexible application options. They are flame-retardant and oil-resistant, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments. The NSSHÖU is perfect for installation on plaster, in dry, damp and wet rooms and even outdoors.
