Flexible medium voltage single-core cable are generally used in short lengths, e.g. to connect switch cells or mobile transformer stations to the overhead line. They can also be used to connect current collectors in locomotives and trains. During installation and operation, they should be protected against major mechanical stresses. In addition, the general specifications in DIN VDE 0298-3 apply. Can be used in rail vehicles with hazard level HL3 according to DIN EN 45545-1(2013).
