Properties of NAYCWY cables

NAYCWY cables are high-quality power cables that comply with the VDE 0276-603 standard, thereby offering the highest standards of quality and safety. These cables feature an aluminium conductor and are available in both solid and stranded versions, highlighting their versatility.

The core insulation consists of PVC of the DIV 4 compound type. A concentric copper conductor surrounds the cores and can be used as a protective conductor. The sheath of the high-voltage cable consists of PVC of the DMV 5 compound type and is black, making it robust and durable.

NAYCWY cables are flame-retardant in accordance with VDE 0482-332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2 and have CPR cable class Eca in accordance with EN 50575. These cables are also UV-resistant and therefore suitable for use as outdoor and underground cables, making them ideal for outdoor installation.

The rated voltage Uo is 0.6 kV, the rated voltage U is 1 kV, and the rated DC voltage is 1.8 kV. The maximum voltage in three-phase systems is 1.2 kV, and the test voltage is 4 kV. The cables can be operated in temperature ranges from at least -5 to +70 degrees Celsius, which expands their potential applications in various environments.

The cores of the NAYCWY cable are colour-coded in accordance with VDE 0293. Where there are more than 5 cores, the cores are marked with numbers, which facilitates installation.

The cable designation includes suffixes such as ‘SE’, ‘SM’, ‘RE’ and ‘RM’, which denote the conductor types:

SE: sector-shaped conductor, single-strand

SM: sector-shaped conductor, multi-strand

RE: round conductor, single-strand

RM: round conductor, multi-strand
